A first approach to Augmented Reality in CitiSim

For CitiSim Spanish Pilot, an Augmented Reality application is being developed. This application is aimed to run on Microsoft HoloLens smartglasses and it’s being prepared to allow an easy port to any other future devices. Using it, specialists will have access and tools that allow them to practice emergency simulations in an efficient ways.

Below, you can show a video of an alpha version of the application behaviour, it has the minimum functionality that shows an augmented reality menu, allows to generate routes dinamically in the building and navigate through the building 3D mesh in real-time. Most of planned functionalities have not been implemented yet. But, for sure, it will be interesting to you as a preview of what we’ll be able to do in some months.
