“Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati extends the research scope of the CitiSim ecosystem
The CitiSim project has just started and, apart from the 3 Spanish universities and research centres already involved, we are proud to inform that “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati (Romania) has officially joined the CitiSim ecosystem.
The CitiSim project is still on its initial stage, but the design and expected results and outcomes presented by Altfactor to the University are ambitious enough to attract its interest. As a result, last October 3rd 2016, the management staff of the university “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati signed a letter of intent, showing its support to the CitiSim project. As a result, this University will collaborate with Altfactor, and the project in general, in aspects concerning the innovation process, mainly focused on the enhanced of tools for monitoring and controlling the traffic, the environmental aspects and the smart mobility in general from a global perspective. A set of aspects that should be compulsory in a smart city concept.
“Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati is a public university located in Galați, Romania. It was founded in 1974 and it consists of fourteen faculties and two colleges with more than thirty departments, covering a wide range of education fields. Due to the technical and innovative spirit of some of its study programs, technologies developed as a result of the CitiSim project are aligned with some of the key points of the University, becoming CitiSim a strategic alliance for the University to impact in Romanian society
